So much to see,
So much to feel,
So much to experience.
I long to feel-
The smoothness of the air
As one sails;
I long to hear-
The crickets deep in the night
As one slumbers;
I long to know-
How would it be to lie down on the soft grass, wind billowing in your ears, and to not have any care in the world.
Would it suffice? Just plain longing?
Yet here I am, reduced to what has been offered,
Aside from a captive imagination,
A tiny hole to look:
A tiny hole to hear:
A tiny hole to at least catch a glimpse;
Of what paradise can be.
